about me

I was born in Germany and travelled extensively with my family until we settled in Australia when I was 7 years old.  My early teenage years were spread between Sydney, New South Wales and Perth, Western Australia.  I studied business at Curtin University, Western Australia later working in advertising and computers. While undertaking post graduate business studies, I decided I needed a break for a term and began evening studies at the Claremont School of Art. This led me to undertake a full time art degree at Edith Cowan University, Western Australia.

In 2005 I moved to the UK, and continue to live and work in Leeds.  I have exhibited in solo and group shows and curated and facilitated various community art projects in the UK and in Australia.  I have done project work with school children in Bradford and Leeds and taught art courses in adult education.

My work with portraiture and landscapes has been described as vibrant and expressive because of my use of bright colours and bold lines.  I also extend my portraiture to 3D ceramic sculptures.

My work is included in private and corporate collections and public art commissions for the Peel Health Campus, Western Australia and for NHS Bromley Trust which is shown on www.bbc.co.uk/arts/yourpaintings website in partnership with the Public Catalogue Foundation.
